Lately

Whew life has been so busy for us. Hence the reason why my blog hasn't been updated in a long time. Nathan is going to summer school and working his summer business. He is doing great in his summer class. He got a 113% percent on his last chemistry test! I don't understand how he does it because it is like another language to me. I am so proud of him. I love my new job! It keeps me busy though. Last week i worked 3 12 hour days and I was exhausted. It is very fast paced which I love. I already got a promotion which I am way excited about. So life has been going well. I have been horrible at taking pictures so here are a few IPhone pictures of what we have been up to lately.

While our car was getting fixed we were able to drive this bad boy around. It was so weird to go from our Corolla, which literally doesn't have one luxury feature, to something that was so nice, and automatic. To be honest though, I was excited to turn it back in because I was embarrassed driving it around. We are way to young to have a nice car like this.

Seth came in town for leave from the Navy. I was so bad about taking pictures I don't even have one picture with all of us.

All us of also went to the theme park Holiday World. It was so much fun. The weather was perfect and the lines weren't bad at all. I have a feeling we will be going again this summer.

If you know me you know I have never ever been a fan of seafood. A couple of weeks ago my brother grilled some BBQ salmon on the grill at a family get together. For some reason it looked delicious so I tried a piece and fell in love. I had been craving it ever since so Nathan cooked me some and it was just as good! 

We babysat my nephew Carson this past weekend because my sister went out of town. He is seriously the easiest baby ever. It so fun babysitting when you don't have kids yet because you see how your spouse acts. You would think I would be the paranoid one with kids and Nathan would be easy going. It is complete opposite. I swear Nathan checked in on Carson in the crib like 5 times in the night and was so worried he would suffocate on his blanket. He wanted me to take his blanket out! He kept saying, "When we have kids they are not going to sleep with one thing in their crib." lol. We will see if that happens. It was pretty hilarious. He is going to be such a good Dad one day.

derby

I love Kentucky around this time of year. There are so many fun festivities to celebrate the Derby. A client of Nathan's invited us to a Derby brunch that they have every year. They had a live band, tons of good food, and even someone playing the harp. Other than that we are being kind of boring this year for the Derby. Not doing anything exciting.

Before this post ends I have to brag about my husband. He got an A in Chemistry! He worked so hard and I am so proud of him. I never knew I married a science geek!

family cook out

Tonight we all got together to celebrate my nephew, my sister and my grandmas birthday. We had a fun cook out and all the kids had a water fight with balloon and water guns. It was so much fun!

Kate wouldn't smile for me so I told her I would give her a treat if she would and she did this.

movie date night

Nathan took his last finals for the semester today so we thought we would go out for a movie night. Every Tuesday movies are just 5 dollars so its the only night we go. Afterwards we went and shared a strawberry shake.

I start my new job on Monday and my last day at my current job is tomorrow. So me and Nathan have the rest of the week to hang out which we are so excited for. I have been working from home so we have been able to always spend tons of time together. It is going to be a huge adjustment for us when we don't see each other as much. I know, so sappy, but its true. 

Our health has been really crazy lately. I think everything that happened last year was finally catching up with us. I was having some heart problems. I think they were mini anxiety attacks where my heart would start beating really fast, taking my breath away. It would happen like every 10 minutes through out the day. Nathan has been having extreme stomach pain. After an ER visit and an ultrasound we finally have figured it out that it is an ulcer, which is stress induced. But, that is all past us now and we are better and healthy. Hopefully only good things now ahead of us!

April

I have been such a bad blogger. I can not believe it is already almost May. Time is flying. I have gotten a  new job. It literally happened over night. My old manager text me late one night recruiting me to come work for her. I went in early the next morning to talk to her and get more details about the job and decided that day to take it. I am so excited. The pay is great and the benefits. I am so ready for something new and a challenge. She has a higher position already in mind for me so I am excited to be able to move up and progress.

Nathan is getting ready to finish up this semester. I am so proud of him and the grades he has gotten. Then two weeks later he starts summer school. He will also be running his summer Pressure Washing business so he will be staying busy. He is already getting really booked up and he has literally gotten 100% of all his bids. That rarely happens. We feel so blessed. It feels like things are finally starting to look up.

Well we haven't gone on a planned date for a while and so tonight we went out to Olive Garden. Nathan picked it which is a surprise because I am usually the one always wanting to go there.

I have officially come to terms with that I am the least photogenic person ever. Oh well. Anyways, hopefully I will be better about blogging. 

Arizona

For Nathan's spring break my brother flew us out to visit his family in Arizona. The weather was perfect and we had a blast. They made sure to spoil us. We went out perfect timing because Louisville was playing in the Elite 8 out there. Jeremy bought tickets and it was such a fun game to go to. Louisville came back at the very end and pulled off the win. It was so nice hanging out with the kids. We missed them SO much. Nathans Grandpa has been living in AZ for the past couple of months so we were able to spend some time with him as well. Overall, it was such a fun little trip.

Hunger Games

Wow. I totally win the award for worst blogger. I have been so bad lately. We just got back from Arizona so I have something to blog about. The night before we left we went to the midnight showing of Hunger Games and then caught a flight at 7:55 the next morning. We will not be doing that again. We went with our good friends Courtney and Mason. Such a good movie!
